BIOGRAPHY
和久井映見はオーストリアを拠点に活動している日本人ヴァイオリニストで、その輝かしく澄んだ音色と、集中力の高いエネルギッシュな演奏で常に聴衆を魅了し続けてきた。彼女の演奏は、幅広いイマジネーション、高度なヴィルトゥオーゾ・テクニック、深い分析と理論に基づいており、その演奏は聴衆のみならず各所から高く評価されている。レパートリーはクラシックから現代音楽まで幅広く、現代音楽でも特に注目を得ている若手演奏家の一人といえる。
シオン・ヴァレー・ティボール・ヴァルガ国際ヴァイオリン・コンクール第3位、トルン国際ヴァイオリン・コンクール入賞・特別賞、ユーロ・アジア国際コンクール第1位、オレ・クリサ国際ヴァイオリン・コンクール第2位、ミレクール国際ヴァイオリンコンクール第3位、イサン・ユン国際コンクールファイナリスト、ヤンケレヴィッチ国際ヴァイオリンコンクール第3位、シェーンフェルト国際弦楽コンクール第5位、アントニオ・ヴィヴァルディ国際音楽コンクールウィーン第2位、ヴァーツラフ・フムル国際ヴァイオリンコンクール第2位など、数多くの国際コンクールで入賞や特別賞を受賞している実力派のヴァイオリニスト。
日本、オーストリア以外でも、韓国、ドイツ、ウクライナ、オランダなどでリサイタルを行い好評を博している。同時にソリストとして、ローザンヌ室内管弦楽団（スイス）、トルン交響楽団（ポーランド）、仙台フィルハーモニー管弦楽団（日本）、ナンシー交響楽団・オペラ座管弦楽団（フランス）、ザグレブ・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団（クロアチア）、リヴィウフィルハーモニー管弦楽団（ウクライナ）、ヴィトルド・ルトスワフスキ室内フィルハーモニー管弦楽団（ポーランド）、統営祝祭管弦楽団（韓国）、オムスク・アカデミック交響楽団（ロシア）、ハルビン交響楽団（中国）など数多くのオーケストラと共演するなどヨーロッパやアジアを中心にキャリアを積み重ねている。
東京生まれ。5歳より桐朋学園大学音楽学部附属子供のための音楽教室仙川教室にてヴァイオリンとピアノを始める。私立桐朋小学校、桐朋女子中学校卒業と同時に同教室も15歳で卒室。篠崎功子、堀正文両教授の指導の下、桐朋女子高等学校音楽科、桐朋学園大学音楽学部ソリスト・ディプロマコースで学び優秀な成績で修了する。その後、国立ザルツブルク・モーツァルテウム大学に入学、ピエール・アモイヤル教授に師事し学士号を取得、現在は修士課程に在籍中。
幼少の頃から音楽大学付属の音楽教室で音楽理論とソルフェージュを体系的に学び、加えて高校や大学在学中も含め、ピアノ、指揮、声楽、バレエを長期にわたって学んだことが、彼女の音楽的な幅を広げ、深みを増すことに寄与している。
留学後、世界的に著名な名伯楽ピエール・アモイヤル氏の指導の下で研鑽を積み、フランス音楽はもとより、同氏の恩師である20世紀を代表するヴァイオリニスト、ヤッシャ・ハイフェッツの教えや演奏技術、そしてロシア音楽を間接的に享受し受け継いでいる。
また、日々の生活の中で文化や伝統に触れ、語学を習得し、ハーゲン・カルテットの第2ヴァイオリン奏者であり同大学の教授でもあるライナー・シュミット氏に室内楽を学ぶなど、ドイツ音楽への造詣も深め演奏へと昇華させている。彼女の音楽は今もなお進化を続け留まることを知らない。

Eimi Wakui is an Austrian-based Japanese violinist who has continuously fascinated audiences with her brilliant, crystal-clear tone and highly focused, energetic performances.
Her performances are built on her wide range of imagination, highly virtuosic technique and deep analysis and theory.
Her repertoire covers a large range of classical and contemporary music, and she has also gained a strong reputation for her contemporary music.
Eimi Wakui is a winner of several international violin competitions and won prizes, such as the 3rd prize in the Tibor Varga International Violin Competition Sion Valais, prize winner and special prize in the International Violin Competition – Toruń 2016, 1st prize in the Euro Asia International Competition, 2nd prize in the Oleh Krysa International Violin Competition, 3rd prize in the Mirecourt International Violin Competition, finalist in the International Isang Yun competition, 3rd prize in the Yankelevitch International Violin Competition, 5th prize in the Schoenfeld International String Competition, 2nd prize in the Antonio Vivaldi International Music Competition Vienna, 2nd prize in the International Vaclav Huml Violin Competition.
She has received high recognition for her recital performances in South Korea, Germany, Ukraine and Nederland as well as in Japan and Austria. She has performed with many orchestras as a soloist, Such as Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne (Switzerland), Torun Symphony Orchestra (Poland), Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra (Japan), Orchestre Symphonique et Lyrique de Nancy (France), Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra (Croatia), Lviv Regional Philharmonic (Ukraine), Witold Lutosławski Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra (Poland), Tongyeong Festival Orchestra (South Korea), Omsk Academic Symphony Orchestra (Russia) and Harbin Symphony Orchestra (China).
Eimi Wakui was born in Tokyo, Japan. She started to study the violin at the age of 5 in the Music School for Children attached to the Toho Gakuen College Music Department. After graduated the Toho Gakuen Music High School and Toho Gakuen College Music Department Soloist Diploma Course, continue to study at the University Mozarteum Salzburg with Professor Pierre Amoyal, where she obtained her Bachelor degree. And currently she studies the Master degree.
She started systematically learning music theory and solfege at an early age at a music school attached to a college. And her musical breadth and depth were extended by long-term studies in piano, conducting, voice and ballet.
The instrument she has used is the Pietro Guarneri (Venice, c. 1750)
